I chose MGMC to deliver my second child. I went into labor at 4am march 2nd. We drove from Ahwatukee to the hospital. I was in active labor by 430 and my contractions were less than 2 min apart. When arriving my mother ran in and informed the front desk receptionist of my status while my husband tried to help me out of the car. My water had already broken...my might ran back out and wheeled me inside while my husband parked the car. I was having major contractions and was pushing the baby back in trying not to give birth in the parking lot or lobby. The guy at the front desk was very slow and trying to hey me to fill out paperwork! all while I'm screaming and trying not to push. The ppl in the lobby were all staring. It was very unprofessional. The guy was very slow and took his time calling labor and delivery down. The nurse was very nice trying to help me into a grown and onto a gurney to go upstairs. We did not make it into the elevator whenthe nurse delivered the baby in the hallway. The delivery nurses were all nice and helpful. Once I was transferred to a room which is spacious with enough room for my husband and mother. I was not given anything for the pain of my natural child birth (my first I had IV and an epidural so this was a new kind of pain.) The nurse was rude and neglectful. I had to report her to the charge nurse. I had to remind the staff every time I was due for medication and three treated me like I was some kind of junkie. I had just had a natural birth and they had no sympathy. I would be in so much pain I was balling, and couldn't move. They did not assist me with the baby and I requested a breast feeding consultant multiple times. The best feeding consultant never came. They offered to have me wait for her (with no estimated time) after I was discharged. I just wanted to get out of there. The consultant should game seen me during my hospital stay. (I went home and forms a fabulous consultant who came to me)
I will never go back to MGMC..
