  • Ok, to clear things up, Reggie is actually the name of the owner's son. Him and his wife owns the salon. Paul is the groomer and it does look like a one man show here. The professionalism that many reviewers on here and on google have mentioned, I do understand. He isn't the most courteous, culturally and language wide there is also a barrier. But I think he generally means well. Some tips: 1. If you are to feed your dog before coming, make sure to feed only a light meal or 1/2 as normal portion. 2. Take your dog on a walk before entering the salon for bathroom break. 3. Bring a water bowl and water for your dog and fill it up. Paul indicated he will not walk your dog, he expects your dog to do their business on the floor. My dog is trained to potty outside. My dog wasn't caged, there is a gate for the dog to act as a double dog that way they don't leave the store. However, I think there are cages and i do hear a dog barking in the back. Yes on the smell of dog odor, smells like a more pungent version of an indoor doggy daycare. There wasnt any hair when I got there, it is early in the day and there wasnt any hair in the floor when i picked my dog up, seems like the hair is cleaned up quickly. Usually when I take my dog elsewhere for grooming he gets a bandana post grooming, none of that here. Paul can wash or not wash your dog with the grooming. I think because my dog wasn't washed, it came out a bit uneven on the top, I wish he had warned me. Also the breed specific cut I asked for came out a bit short in certain areas, but I guess it is getting hot so that's fine. Overall, nothing glitzy, Paul said he has been grooming pets for 27 years he started in NYC and then has had the same store for 10 years out in Indian trail. I just wonder if it used to be a different name because he said it's named after his son, but his son is a baby. I think for the price you pay, it's a fine grooming salon. I traveled 30 minutes just to try this place out!
