| - I was Portia's "model" for microblading removal that another artist did. I was left with horrible scars to my face (from the removal) and was told that I can come to her to fill in the holes that were left on my face from PORTIA's removal! We met up for a consult and I was told that microblading was not an option but I can get ombre done. She said that I could only get the ombre done to a portion of both brows because my scars still hadn't healed, ALMOST A YEAR LATER!! We agreed on an appointment and that was for today for 1:30!
I got to my appointment at 1PM and from my car, sent her a text saying I was here early and if she was able to see me earlier, I'd come in but if not, no worries. She text back a few minutes later saying to come on in. First thing she did was put the numbing cream on me at 1:11 p.m. and said I had to leave it on for 30 minutes. Right after she put it on, she left the room and didn't return until 1:54 p.m.!! While I was laying in her chair with numbing cream on my brows for 43 minutes, I filled out her 4-page consent form! Once she returns, she picks a shade and we go over to the chair for her to draw on my brows - the way she was going to ombre them. While there, she is asking if I decided on microblading or ombre. I was confused because I was told numerous times that microblading was not an option! She giggled at my confusion and continued to speak condescending to me saying she told me to do my research! I told her that my research or lack thereof is not what's confusing but now that she's bringing microblading to the table as an option was what was confusing. After I looked in the mirror and didn't like these thick Eugene Levy brows she drew on my face, I asked if I was able to draw one in so I can show her how I like them. With a huge sigh, she had the AUDACITY to tell me "well, just to let you know, your numbing cream is wearing off and I have another client at 3:30!" Are you kidding me? I came to my appointment 30 minutes earlier and you left me in a room with the numbing cream on for longer than it was supposed to be there! Because I don't like the thick brows you drew on my face you get offended and basically let me know to hurry up!?!???!!!
After I drew them in, I told her - I'm not a brow expert but this is the shape I like, can you now tweak it so they're even and as symmetrical as they can be. She walks over to where the 4-page consent form I filled out is and says, "I want you to write on here that you drew your brows on and this is the way you want them!" I told her, I am showing you the shape I like and am asking you to fix them using my template since you're the brow expert. She refused and then I asked, well didn't I just initial on one of those pages that "I am happy with the shape of the drawing, etc." I said I wasn't happy with what you drew so now you're making me add to your already long consent form so that way if I leave looking like a clown and when I'm unhappy you can say "well you drew them!" I kept telling her I didn't want what I drew on, I was JUST giving her a basic template/shape and for her to take it from there. So knowing that I am telling you I know what I drew NEEDED to be fixed, you were still willing to tattoo my face like that AS LONG AS I signed something saying that it was MY drawing????? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
I am not the brow expert with plaques on the wall. YOU ARE!! If I'm showing you one brow that I like that will be on MY face, how dare you get offended and not help me out!?! All she did was giggle and roll her eyes the whole time making me feel bad.
I am left with permanent scars on my face at the hands of Portia and she won't even make HER wrong right! And to top it all off, she was going to charge me for this appointment, which we discussed at the consultation. Although it was less expensive that what she normally charges, I still think it's ridiculous that after seeing scars in the shape of holes on my brows (that SHE put there), she'd dare charge me. Even though I thought charging me a penny was so wrong, I DO NOT like confrontation and just said okay!! But after the way I was treated today with blatant disrespect for my time or my feelings when I didn't like the thick brows she drew on my face, I can't continue being passive and had to write a review - which I should have did after she put scars on my face for life.
I have scars on my face at the hands of Portia and was treated so rudely today, getting laughed at and talked down to!
Beware if you have a different opinion than her! You'll get treated like crap!
