  • This place is terrible! Ive lived here 6 years and seen a thousand bars come and go and this should have been one of those that closed down. Ive been apart of the night life here for awhile and I am also a concierge at a nearby hotel (to avoid negative repurcussions I am not naming what hotel) So I think my opinion carries some merrit since it is my job to tell people where to go and not go to have a good time. anyways, this place is absolutely rediculous. I can tell you this much, if your a guy (regardless of how many girls you have with you) you will wait forever in line unless you grease the doorman... which you will also probably have to do anyways. Also when you actually get in you will find that the drinks are watered down and bartenders are about as rude as they come... in fact this last saturday I went there with 3 girls and the doorman still told me that I need to give him a 20... So i paid him reluctantly and went inside. This is where it gets interesting The bartender was rude so I didnt tip him and this guy actually walked around the bar and up to me, slapped the credit slip on my chest, and told me to sign it as if in an attempt to embarrass me. I laughed and signed it all the while crossing out the areas for a tip which ive learned from experience bartenders will write in their own tip if you leave it blank and sign. After I handed him the slip he said something that i did not hear so i asked him to clarify. He said sarcastically "thanks for the tip!" This actually caught me off guard, I've never seen such disrespect from a customer service standpoint. So I asked for his managers name and he gave it to me. I then thanked him to which he replied F*** you. after that I just laughed in disbelief and told him to go F himself. he then waived security over and had me removed. At this point I demanded to talk to the bar manager. He came out and I told him it cant be legal to throw someone out for not tipping the bartender to which he said "there is nothing illegal about it, we can refuse service to whoever we want" and then told me to leave. Whats worse about this situation is that I talked with my friend that goes there all the time, because her friend is a bartender there, and she told me that they were throwing people out all night for not tipping. Moral of the story, Scottsdale is known for the tools at the bars so there is not much getting around that... but by far Junkie is last on my list of places I will ever go and I will never advise any of the guests that I come into contact with... or anybody in general for that matter to go here
