| - I don't think I've ever had a worse experience at a nail salon, EVER. I came in on a friday and every pedicure bowl was taken and that's fine, i didn't have an appt. But when they did seat me, i was sitting with my feet in the bowl for half an hour. When i finally was assisted to, it was clear the lady was in a complete rush and all that was on her mind was to get me in and out as fast as possible. i even noted that the lady sitting next to me told her technician to slow down and stop hurrying.
A little bit into the appt, when we got to the callus removal, my technician took a look at the bottom of my feet and gave me a disgusted look. Yes, I'm hard on my feet but, yes, it's also your job...sorry! After that, she was picking at an ingrown toenail after repeated painful sounds i made and only stopped when i pulled away and said something! not what i would call relaxing!!!
When we were onto my manicure, let me tell you, this woman would not stop filing and drilling, and i have thin nails as it is. Not very reassuring. And not only that, again she hurt me when drilling under my nails and only stopped when i pulled away and gave a pointed look. Let me just say i was ready to leave by that point. So here i am, home and checking out my manicure. This woman does not only lack skills in the art of conversation, but also in the all important shaping! I was taking my natural LONG nails down about half way and she saw how they were shaped before...almond. Not too hard to ask. Ask me how my nails look now...CROOKED, and fake looking aka too fat and round at the bottom and fat and round at the top, in the worst way possible. I'm actually sitting here RE-FILING MY NAILS. I can't even paint my own nails so that says something!!! Also, I chose a color for my gel mani, and i came out with a different color. Wasn't even worth pointing out then, i was so ready to be out of there and in the same mind to refuse to pay. But pay (i paid $60 for a reg pedi and a gel manicure that really couldn't be called a mani in my opinion though)) i did but also with a mind set on leaving this review.
I've paid Fantasy Nails a few visits before but after this one experience, i will never EVER EVER return. Stay away and take heed this advice my friends. Keep on browsing, nothing to see here and don't go near Fantasy Nails with a ten foot pole for your own well being and that of your nails too.
