  • This is THE place in Chandler to go if you feel the need to indulge that sweet tooth.... Or blow last week's progress at the gym. Confession: though UTL serves food and sandwiches, I have only ever gone there for their cakes, some of which are made on-premises, and others are brought in. Teas are wide ranging: white, green, black and there's a limited bar (including some tea-infused martinis.) Don't come thirsty: teas have to steep 4-5 minutes once brought to the table before they can be drunk. Each time I have gone in, self-control has gone out of the window. I'm usually very fussy about cakes and sweets, but UTL exceeds just about any expectation in this area. I have noticed, both on the first visit, and watching new customers walk in, there seems to be a little uncertainty as to how to order. A small sign saying to seat yourself and that a server will assist as soon as possible would go a long way to avoiding customers trying to order at the cash register, just to be told to take a seat. This is a must-visit, and remains on my repeat visit list.
