Apparently, the new 2017 Cadillac XT5 crossover has a serious defect GM does not know how to fix. Sadly, we just leased one that has thIs problem: As you drive at high speed (65 mile/hour) on the highway the stabilitrak disengages, assisted steering turns off, assisted breaking system turns off and the engine goes in limp mode.... it happened last week. We took it to the shop, picked it up the next day and the same problem happened again within hours except this time it almost caused us to crash! Took it to the dealership again when they confessed GM knows about the issue but instructed dealerships to not replace any parts until the figure out the fix. We took it to the shop again. They tried to give it back to us after only resetting the fault codes. I am disappointed they would not tell us about the known issue the first time... Everyone so far seems helpful and concerned but I am still leasing an unreliable car. I am meeting with the general manager today hoping he'll do the right thing and let us have another model that is not dangerous to drive on the highway
