| - This has become a go-to brunch place for me since I moved to the 'hood.
The decor inside is pretty neat - as the old saying goes, no brunch place is complete without a fish tank. The service is pretty friendly, although often slow (mainly due to not having enough servers on hand and the fact that it's always packed in there). If you sit at the bar, you can watch all the food being cooked/plated (which is fun for some but gross for others) and joke around with the kitchen staff.
Coffee-wise, their americanos are delish. Food-wise, everything I've had has been good - I normally get the Sammy Benny which is A+. Their menu is pretty big and includes lots of sweet and savoury options. There are also are a few different sides to choose from - the fruit is always fresh and delicious, which is a big deal to me. I weep when I get a side of fruit that is 95% watery honeydew melon.
My main criticism? Well, I suggest getting a table near the back if you can. In the winter, it's very cold near the front due to the door being continually opened and closed from people coming and going. In the summer, they open up all the front windows... which would be really nice, except that the place is OVERRUN with wasps (the insect, not the socioeconomic group... although maybe that too). They seriously need to do something about that.
A solid brunch joint, in my humble opinion. There's usually a line, though, so be prepared to wait!
