  • I've been a member since November 2015 and have had 2 problems within the 3 months. Recently my boyfriend and I were charges a fee of $33.90 on top or our bi-weekly fee. I immediately called the club we are members of and the receptionist explained that it was an additional fee that we were charged was because of the upgrades they have done. She also told me a manager would call me back within 24 hours and we should of received letters in the mail. When I explained that neither my boyfriend or I had received a letter her reply was that not many people did. This obviously wasn't her fault and I'm sure she had been hearing complaints about this all day. After throughly reading my contract and it not saying anything about being able to take extra money out until my contract was past the 12 month period I went to the bank and returned the $33.90. Now my boyfriend and I are getting emails saying that our accounts is in arrears which they is not. The only thing we haven't paid is the $33.90 that was not part of our contract. We joined the gym just as they were finishing the renovations and were not informed about any extra fees. I've been a member of a couple other gyms and I have never had this problem before. Also I purchased a nutrition session and have not been able to book the session because she never returns my messages.
