  • I stayed here for 5 days with my husband, my mom and our friend. The price was reasonable which is why we stayed here. I believe it was around $550 for the 5 nights plus the resort fee. -Check in- Went very well. My mom had already checked into her room so we just asked if we could be near her. They didn't have anything on her floor so we got one a floor up. There was no line at check in but we got there at 1 am. -Room- We had a double bed room on floor 20. It faced the fashion mall. The room was clean and modern. The bathroom was very large and had an awesome tub(sadly I never go to use it). The beds were cozy. Overall good accomodations. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fast so it got pretty steamy in there. The shower head was also a little low for us 6 footers. I managed to flood the bathroom every time I showered. I am not a fan of those cloth shower curtains. I didn't really watch TV. The wifi seemed to work fine, I wouldn't have used it but I did not seem to get 4G in our room. -Casino- Casino was smaller with lower ceilings. Not very crowded. Husband did not have luck at most tables. I didn't do that great on roulette either. -Food-We only ate at the pizza place and frozen yogurt. Pizza was pretty good and frozen yogurt was ok but lacked rich flavors, price was good though. -Pool- We used the pool on a day that wasn't that warm so I only went in the hot tub which wasn't very hot. The DJ was super loud and played music people in their early 20's would like. -Location- Almost at the one end but near the places we wanted. I liked the tram to the Mirage and the closeness to the Venetian. -Theme- WTF Treasure Island, I don't get you. That is all I kept thinking the whole time we were there. I thought this place was supposed to be pirate themed. They removed the pirate show out front and now just have decoration pirate ships. They have a Pirate themed gift shop and that is where the theming ends. The rest of the hotel is just generic blah theming. There is so much opportunity with this theme and they failed so bad. They have a new sign for the strip and it says TI so it looks like they are going with new theming but that theme sucked too. The colors were ugly together and to primary school looking. This I feel personally is something they need to work on. It is just so generic and boring that I cant even recall the decor. You can do a classy pirate theming. I don't even like pirates and I am demanding them here. Work on this please, k thanks. I dont have much else to say, I just mostly wanted to rant about their lack of theming. Overall, the stay was fine. I would go somewhere else next time though. Nothing wrong with this place that is a deal breaker it was just boring and smaller.
