I stopped in while I was in town on a road trip. When I got there, there seemed to be a bit of lacking in customer service. The woman at the desk was kind of short with answers. The guy was also not great on explaining things. I only got what I needed since I knew what to ask for in terms of asking about the different climbing areas. I mostly Boulder so this review will mainly reflect that.
As for the climbing, I'm not used to climbing in such heat and humidity which made it rougher than I expected, especially being indoors but I was okay with that. What I did not appreciate is how cramped everything was. The minute I got it, I was so excited to see different hangs and holds for climbing and training everywhere. The next minute, just a few more people came in and it was practically impossible to climb. I'm one that is all for being in close proximity to fellow climbers, but it was probably the first time I felt anything near to suffocated during indoor climbing and that seemed largely due to space set up.
I normally climb V4-5s at home, but I was having issues of finding climbing that were nice to warm up on. Lots of the holds were grimey. I did appreciate he diversity in climbs, but a few of the ones I hopped on seemed tall person specific.
I wasn't generally liking the vibes of this place. Cramped and dominated with regulars that weren't the friendly climbers I was used to back on the coast.
There were really cool little nifty training setups which I really liked. But would I ever come back for the bouldering? Probably not.
