  • It may seem odd to be reviewing a retirement community but I feel strongly enough about this place that a review was warranted. My grandparents-in-law moved here about 7 years ago, giving up the home they loved but acknowledging it was best due to increased need for regular medical attention. But it didn't take long at all for them to love this place and today they tell us often how they should have moved there years before they did. They routinely tell us how they love that they can have their own place and freedom along with the peace of mind that comes with medical staff being in the same community. Their family shares that peace of mind. The on-site restaurant, library, grocery store, laundry and more mean that they don't have to go far for the necessities and for fun. There is even a bank and a church! In fact this community thinks of itself in terms of a Christian mission and the evidence of this is everywhere. Everyone seems happy, offers kind greetings and conversation and seems to be enjoying life. The housing is setup like apartments or condos. Theirs has a nice, safe bathroom, a comfortable bedroom and living room and an efficiency kitchen that is just big enough. It's such as nice place, I can see my wife and I retiring there some day. For that, I give Glencroft five stars.
