This is not a typical review, I guess. No address, no number. Unless you wanted the Visitor's Information Center, but this is not what I recommend. People are so quick to judge the desert as baron and unattractive, but this is not true. Maybe you just have to be a desert baby to enjoy all it has to offer. Red Rock is one of the stunning desert attractions close to Las Vegas that everyone should see. I remember taking backpacks loaded with sandwiches and our bathing suits with my dad and hiking to various waterfalls with my dad in the fall. You cannot hike in the summer unless you want to die from the heat. (It's not that bad, but I can't stand it!) Once you get off the path a bit, there is more beauty here than any Southern California beach I have ever seen. If you are looking for an inexpensive outing with your family or friends Red Rock Mountain (not the casino, the actual mountain) offers some of the most amazing riches the desert has to offer. Bring your suit, you may find a secluded waterfall or two and feel compelled to jump in!
