  • The rooms are comfy enough, we had two connecting ones. One room for grandpa, one room for family, couch for me. Good enough. Balconies were pretty nice. We watched hot air balloons launch. Someday I'll beat my fear of heights and go on one, but not this trip. However, we did do one of the trips/add-ons that they offered, horseback riding. I was in a snit that day, but my mother enjoyed it. I just don't ride that often so it wasn't very comfortable. It's a really easy ride though, I'd say it'd be fine for children, adults, whomever. There were 1/2 hour, 1 hour, and maybe a half-day option? Something like that. The resort is a bit of a ways out from town. Do not expect to be able to walk to anything, my dad and I walked around in a nearby neighborhood and got hopelessly lost, but found our way back to lake pleasant road and just walked back along the bike lane/desert (this was at night, the desert is nice at night and during the fall, summer would be a hell no). There is a place (or places) in town that rent bikes, but they don't at the resort (s.o.l), so bring your own or rent them somewhere. Biking is nice. This place has two really nice pools and 'cuzzi's. One for kids and one for adults, that is definitely as it should be. They have a cafe/bar, and plan on adding a restaurant in the future. A previous reviewer mentioned lack of light in the rooms, I wholeheartedly concur with that assessment. Not a bad place overall, just tons more construction to be expected (gotta sell the dang time shares, hoo-haa etc etc, money money money), so just be used to, and accepting of, construction. p.s. Wifi coming soon, ethernet in the rooms (att, have to pay for it, lame). Wifi available in lobby/and just outside lobby on the benches of steel (ok, wood, but uncomfortable as sin). My mother said that the front desk said that they are trying to role out wifi for the whole place by March or so, I'd say about frelling time.
