  • When considering a lease of solar panels I was concerned about what would happen if I needed to sell my house before the lease was up. Streamline solar also understands that this is a concern and they have specific marketing material to convince you that transferring a lease is not a potential problem. From my experience nothing could be further from the truth, and I think I was misled. The solar company streamline sold me a lease with is called SunPower. Dealing with them has been a nightmare, and even now escrow has closed on the sale of my house and I am still getting bills from SunPower and they claim they have never received the documents they need to transfer the lease to the new homeowner. It is just not true. They have everything they need, and it has been sent twice. Leasing makes good financial sense if you are sure you won't be moving. My experiences with CJ and streamline solar have been very good in terms of the quality of the product and the service they have offered, but if there is any possibility that you might need to sell your home before the lease is up I would urge you to think twice before leasing.
