| - So here is the follow up email I received from Zipps Management today:
(not sure this means much now!!)
Hi there Shanon,
We received your submission online through our "Contact Us" form in regards to your recent visit to our location in Arrowhead. We are very sorry you had a poor experience and are sorry if your group was disrespected in any way. We do have a policy at all of our stores that states large parties must arrive all at once, and there is no holding seats. We also do not take reservations unless it's a big enough group to place a deposit down (for example, a group of 30 would have to place a $300 deposit down to hold any tables at all). We try our best to maximize our seating, especially during prime times like Sunday football or Friday night dinner rush in order to effectively please the most customers while taking business revenue into consideration. We evaluated this situation with operations team and even reviewed the video footage from your visit (which unfortunately does not have sound so we didn't hear the dialogue).
In this instance, the manager was trying to do the right thing by enforcing our policy. There may have been a misunderstanding with your group, and we are very sorry if the manager was rude to you folks, or assuming that your acquaintances were grouped together at one table when it was really just a coincidence. We really appreciate your feedback because it will help us recognize how to handle similar situations in the future. We wish that there was some way we could have explained our policy prior to this mix-up, and we apologize that it escalated into a larger problem for you and your party. We strive to provide great service and quality food and it's disheartening to hear when we've dropped the ball. We hope that you will give us another chance as we take the necessary actions to properly train our staff on how to kindly address these concerns by informing our guests initially of our large party procedures. If you ever want to secure a spot for a large group by providing a deposit, we will be happy to work something out with you in the future.
All the best,
Shaena
