Went yesterday about 245pm. My friend and I thought we'd have a relaxing time having tea and maybe a bite to eat. Two ladies were on staff. When we entered we were asked if we were going to have lunch. We said we MIGHT like something to munch on but we wanted to start with tea. We were given a disapproving look. "No lunch"? Well, not yet, we'd just like to start with some tea. Another disapproving look. We sat down with menus (so we could decide on the type of tea we wanted). An older, dark haired lady came to take our order and asked what we wanted for lunch. Nothing yet, thanks but we'd like to start with some tea. Again, "No lunch?" - no, we'd like to start with some tea. We said we wanted to share a pot (another disapproving look), thinking we might try a different pot once the first one was consumed. We asked for some scones. The scones arrived and no sooner had the tea been poured, it began leaking all over the table from the bottom. We hollered for some help. Both ladies were slow to respond so we used the napkins at the table to clean up and stop the mess. Again, the attitude we got was as if we were a complete annoyance and there was no concern shown for any potential burns that may have been inflicted by the hot tea. My friend was completely embarrassed at having brought me there. We don't know what was going on with those two yesterday but I can only hope it was a singular episode. Those two women were horrible!
