I am so disappointed.... The pictures of the pasta on Yelp drew me in, and I was so excited to give this place a try. My experience was less than positive.
I will preface this review by saying that the two stars come from 1) half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays 2) family owned and operated. That's where the stars stop.
My food was terrible. I ordered a pasta dish that was supposed to be hand cut fresh pasta with pancetta and peas in a light white sauce. What I got was pasta with a terrible creamy tomato sauce, frozen peas, and squares of flat sandwich ham. No joke. I was floored. I asked the waiter if there was supposed to be more pancetta it if I mis read the menu, and he brought me a plate of greasy cold pieces of pancetta that resembled bacon bits.
I stopped him again and sent it back because I don't even buy deli ham to eat in sandwiches, so I definitely don't want it in my pasta. (Just a side note: this wasn't just a little bit. Half of the volume of my dish was deli ham pieces) when I sent it back the waiter's response was that the menu was being updated to say ham, but that it hadn't been done yet. Ok. Fine. But why didn't you mention that to me when I ordered it?
My lover-boo got the margherita pizza and it was also nothing like the pictures on yelp. The pizza in the preview pictures make the pizzas look wood fired and crispy. What we got was squishy doughy pizza with mediocre sauce and barely any flavor.
This makes me wonder if there was a change in chefs.
I won't be back.
