| - I've been around hunting for a good pair of jeans for a while now, mostly spent in stores commonly found in malls and big department stores which meant while customer service was good, it wasn't great and the staff might not know as much about jeans as I would hope. But Body Blue was just a great experience from beginning to end. It is pretty small and especially crammed in the winter with me wobbling around in a big jacket and a backpack, but the service I received was fantastic!!
There were 2 ladies working there (Lauren and Ashely/Alex? I believe) and when I mentioned I was looking for jeans they got to work. The thing about Body Blue is that it's so crammed full of stuff that you're almost forced to ask for help if you really want to see what they have to offer. Lauren asked me if I trust her (well why wouldn't I trust, I've known her for 3 minutes) and went around the store and bought me 7 pairs to try. Now I usually don't take more than 3 items in to a changing room, so having 7 thrust at me was definitely a new experience, I guessed I was going to be spending some time in here. They wanted me to come out after each pair so they could provide feedback as well.
What really got to me about their service was when they asked what kind of shoes I would be wearing them with, and I mentioned possibly boots, they went upstairs and brought down a new pair of boots so I could try the jeans on with the boots as well. They were in fact concerned that perhaps they brought down a pair that was too tight!
I was lucky that it wasn't a particularly busy day for them so I could have most of their attention and in the end I walked out with 2 pairs of jeans (they had a buy one get one 50% off deal). The jeans are not cheap, I believe the cheapest I saw were $200, but they are all well worth it, and for an investment like jeans I'd say it was money well spent.
So big thanks to the staff here that really took the frightening experience of jean shopping for me and made it a really simple and fun one!
