  • Gaston County is extremely fortunate to have such a treasure in its backyard - this is one of the nicest gardens in the state and possibly in the country. The pavilion is beautiful and the manicured gardens are a joy to spend a nice afternoon walking through. The biggest attraction now is the conservatory, which contains a number of rare orchid species and is apparent in that it is DSBG's newest focus. The only bummer is that they stopped doing the Fourth of July event with the Charlotte Symphony, I really wish they'd bring that back!
