  • Life at Ballantyne Spa is the life I was born to live. (But, as a teacher, sadly, cannot afford to do so!) Haha My friend and I each had received Beautiful Day packages as gifts--her for a 30th birthday and me for my Master's graduation. We continually forgot to call and book our appointments and when I called to book our desired date, it was SUPER last minute but they were able to accommodate us with no problem. There are many things I absolutely loved about the Spa at Ballentyne. One is that the moment you enter, you're provided a luxurious, cozy robe and slippers to wear for the day. From there, whether you're there for a singular service or a full day, you are treated like royalty regardless and you're provided the run of the property for the day. (As a newbie to the spa experience and someone a little younger, I was a little nervous about being looked down upon as someone who wouldn't be able to afford to be like many of the regulars or high-profile folks who come to the spa. But, I never once felt uncomfortable or treated any differently than the regulars!) My friend and I began our day with 8 am massages. We were nearly late as we were not told how early to arrive and some of the pre-service paperwork took a little longer than expected. So, definitely arrive earlier than you think you should! We were greeted promptly and massages began on time with some spectacular providers. After our massages, we spent an hour in the spa waiting room in a relaxed stupor before enjoying facials. We also enjoyed our complimentary beverage in the form of mid-morning mimosas. Again, providers for facials were knowledgeable, accommodating, and all-together wonderful. With a large break of time, we spent a few hours bouncing between the indoor and outdoor pools due to some rain/storms in the area. We had a spa lunch delivered on the spa veranda, overlooking the picturesque golf course. For the afternoon, we returned to the indoor pool area for some jacuzzi time, and then finished our Spa Day with 4:30 pedicures. When we pulled out of the Spa parking lot, I've never felt more relaxed. The pricing of the spa is a little higher than other providers of the same services, but the plush "extras" more than make up for that. The Spa at Ballentyne is definitely a lavish and wonderful treat!
