| - I would really enjoy staying here if it were not for the ineptitude of the people who run it. To start, our parking lot has been a sheet of ice for a month now, not a single piece of salt has been placed on it until yesterday. My fiance actually fell the other day because of how slippery it was and, thankfully, only bruised herself. When other reviewers say that we haven't had a property manager in months, they mean it. This means other people who live at 3030 take advantage of everything: They don't pick up after their dogs, the gym (aka a really crappie treadmill and mats) is not maintained after use, and they constantly utilize the few guest spots as if they were their own.
To continue, just try getting in touch with maintenance or an emergency line. Locked out? Have fun staying in the Springhill suites next door tonight. Brown water seeping from your toilet? Go find some other bathroom. Literally, a pipe burst last night and a flood of water gushed down the stairwell, 3 firetrucks came but nobody could be reached. If management doesn't care this much about a brand new building, imagine how they'll feel about it a year from now.
Further problems include, but are not limited to: No one to receive packages, which are left outside each day. THE OBVIOUS HIDING THAT YOU'LL LIVE 40 FEET AWAY FROM AN ACTIVE TRAIN TRACK ( just putting this in here for anyone who may be turned off by this chronic occurrence). The unkempt halls and stairwells.
Honestly, this wouldn't be hard to fix if they just hired someone with their head screwed on straight. I should note that the 'Doughboy Square apartments and run by the same guy, Ralph Falbo.' I would recommend avoiding any of his properties for fear that you will be taken for the same ride. For the price that you pay for the 3030 South Water apartments you expect a certain degree of creature comforts (aka management), get with it.
