Uncorked is truly a hidden secret wine bar in northeast Scottsdale. I have been going there for about two years. It is one of the few places in Scottsdale that I feel completely comfortable going in there alone and sitting at the bar. There is a local crowd and there is a "family" feel for the clientele. Ali, the owner and Alex - the beautiful bartender make you feel right at home whenever you swing by. One thing that is really a secret is the great lunches they serve. You can find great specials every week day with great prices. Ali even sends you away with a warm home baked cookie. I have taken high profile executives to lunch here and they have come back on their own as they were so impressed with the food and the service. When the concerts are featured in the courtyard area, it's hard to get a seat at Uncorked. Once you figure out the schedule, just make reservations with Ali - she's very accommodating. I've even eaten there on New Year's Eve - it's a very cozy, nice plate to warm up to someone close in your life. I think even Simon would give this place a thumb's up!
