I don't do breakfast out very often, mainly because I don't think anybody does it as good as I can do it at home! That said, sometimes I just don't feel like whipping out the griddle so we do find ourselves going for breakfast at times. Most of the time we stick to Waffle House or Bill Johnson's because, well... we LIKE them and we don't have to sit in line for four hours like you do over at Matt's Big Breakfast (what the heck is that about anyway, can eggs be this good? I'll never find out, I can't stand lines - especially at breakfast).
Last time we were at Il Posto we saw this place right next door and although it looks more like an IKEA store than a breakfast joint, we said we'd make a point of visiting it next time we were jonesing for breakfast, and we did.
I really wanted to hate this place because it looks so trendy but darn it if it wasn't perfectly delicious. I can't even complain about their coffee because it was dark and rich, just like I like it. Service was quick and friendly. If I had one complaint about the place, it would be that the second you walk in the door, if you're unfamiliar with their menu you're UNDER PRESSURE TO DECIDE immediately because the knobs in line behind you already know what they want so GO GO GO... but that's a fairly minor issue. I had the veggie omelette and the wife had the French toast. We both agreed that it was delicious and we'll definitely be back!
