  • My husband and I planned a trip to Toronto but quickly realized that hotel prices were out of our budget. We instead booked our stay at the Planet Traveler hostel but were nervous because we didn't know what to expect. Everything turned out great! We had a private room and only had to share a bathroom with 3 other private rooms (6 other people, at most). It was a one-person bathroom, not stalls of showers or anything. Our room was very clean and they kept the bathroom clean as well. The rooftop area has a great view of the skyline and the location can't be beat. Just a 20-30 minute walk (through Chinatown) to the CN Tower or any of the other touristy stuff. Breakfast was provided in the morning. One night dinner was offered for $5 and another night they did a bar crawl with the hostel guests. We didn't do either, so I can't comment on those. Very pleased with the great price and location of this hostel.
