Just got done eating at Jaleo and couldn't even wait to write a review. This place was just phenomenal.
My husband and I were looking for a bite to eat but nothing too heavy. We scoped out the menu and decided to try it and I'm so glad we did.
We were seated immediately and given some menus. We were only ordering a few things and a couple drinks. Our waitress was helpful in making suggestions and commended us with what we ordered which was quite nice.
The drink menu is on an iPad which I found amusing. I had a glass of white sangria while my husband had the Clara which is beer and lemonade. He loved his drink. I wasn't as into it but it wasn't bad. I loved my sangria. A fresh new take with the cinnamon stick, dried apricot, and basil.
Now onto the food:
Chicken croquettes - like a fried chicken pot pie. They were amazing. I just wasn't crazy about the presentation to be honest. Food in a shoe is just not appealing.
Bacon wrapped dates - deep fried dates with this delicious apple onion mustard sauce, what could be bad about that?! It was excellent.
Warm brussels sprout salad with grapes and Serrano ham - I loved the tang from the vinegar with the sweetness of the fruit and the salty bite of the ham. It was perfect.
Slider-perfectly cooked meat, charred bread, caramelized onions, and bacon?! Best ever.
Salmon tartare cone-my husband loved this bite. Especially the dill.
Patatas bravas- the aioli and spicy tomato sauce worked well together and the potato still had excellent texture.
Everything was delicious and paced well and all the staff worked together and we were never without food on our plates or water in our glasses. It was an excellent meal and the price was quite reasonable for the quality. I was very impressed!
