I was actually excited to see what these guys are made of. A "mom and pop" company = low overhead right? So I call to get a bid on my project and the "mom" with screaming baby answers the phone. No problem, I give her my info and wait for her to call back when she's in front of her calendar. I don't get a call til the day after but at least she didn't forget about me. So we make an appointment for Wednesday between 1-2pm to take a look at one of my rentals.
Come Wednesday, I get a call from 2 unknown numbers around 1230p while I'm finishing up in Tempe. I call back 15 min later to see who it was and it turns out to be these people and she wants to reschedule. What? We had an appointment for 1pm and I can be there at the appointed time (plus or minus 5 minutes). The guy finished a bit early and so it was 15 min ago or never. She wants to reschedule for the next day I'm off which won't be until next week. Great.
Here's my problem with this whole situation - this was a bid for a project at a rental. Obviously I don't live there, you can't just come and knock on the door. Secondly, if the appointment is at a certain time and you can't make it at that time, you should be accommodating to me to try to get it done on the same day if at all possible. The guy was available early, but now all of a sudden he's too busy to come today??
Low rent. I'm actually thinking maybe this is more of a glorified handyman service and maybe I shouldn't trust them with dealing with load bearing walls or any major remodels over 10k. I could have actually used a good handyman service too. What a shame.
