Slightly better food since they relocated to the current location. They were prior, in the space where La Palapa is, now.
The interior is cool funky. They had some New Orleans-y music playing.
There are lunch specials that consist of a main dish & lemongrass soup for $8 .
The soup was decent/good. Not on the level of Nicky's or My Thai or Thai Spoon(the 3 best Thai joints in Pgh. area, imo.)
The pad thai chicken was rather lackluster with no peanuts, very little spice heat when I asked for "Thai hot" spice level. It was too sugary sweet, as well. Not enough sweet/sour/savory balance as proper pad thai should be. I will go back and try the cashew beef & other dishes but to me, Thai Me Up is a mediocre Thai eatery that doesn't seem interested in competing with the aforementioned better quality Thai joints because I think, being in a College off-campus housing area for the most part, they get a lot of 20 somethings that don't know any better.
