This is a horrible hospital that needs to be investigated by the State Board. My 83-year-old great uncle was transferred here from another hospital emergency room, and was told they would be running additional tests. He was told he would see the doctor in the morning. The cavalier, insulting doctor (on his first day of work as a doctor) kept us waiting until almost 6pm, after we were told before noon that he would be in shortly. It took him until almost 6pm, and a conversation about how unacceptable this is to the charge nurse for the doctor to respond. Dr. Bowman has a terrible bedside manner. He told us it was his first day. He refused to order any tests, and insulted both my great aunt and me when we asked questions about his plan for care/treatment moving forward.
In addition, the hospital staff FORGOT to take his vital signs in the afternoon and early evening, and also FORGOT to bring him dinner. My great uncle's medical condition is of serious nature. He deserves to be treated by a doctor who listens and takes his concerns seriously. There are outpatient, urgent care facilities with more appropriate critical patient care than this hospital. This is a terrible violation of trust in our Las Vegas area medical care system. How much worse is this going to get?
The only competent person we encountered is a nurse named Michelle. She was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. She deserves to be working in a better place.
Please do yourself and your family a potentially life-saving favor, and run from this "hospital" like the plague.
