rev:text	It was my 1st visit. I went for a $50 haircut and shave. 1st the barber cut my hair completely with clippers. He never touched a pair of scissors. He rushed through the haircut in record time. I think it took 10 minutes tops. The hot towel treatment was nice. It was the only thing I don't have any gripes about. The shave. Where do I start. The worst shave I have ever received in my life. I have received many back in New York. I assume the man is a licensed barber. In New York you cannot handle a strait razor without being one. I realized something wasn't right when he started taking little 1/2" swipes with the blade. He performed the whole shave like that. It took forever i'm guessing around 1/2 hr. That was just the shave not the prep or follow up. Now I knew why he rushed the haircut. After he was all done I felt my face expecting it to be as smooth as a babies ass. I had stubble everywhere. Cheeks and neck. I could do a better job in 5 minutes with a safety razor. I asked the man at the desk if he was new and he told me no he has been there for over a year. Then I asked him if he has had any other complaints about that barber. He replied no again. On behalf of the establishment they did offer to give me a free return visit or a refund. I declined both. The man worked for his money even if it was lousy work. Also if this was one of their accomplished barbers there was no reason for me to make a return visit. I don't mind spending the money but when I pay for something I expect quality service. I will not be returning to V's...
