I've been to Erie Island a few times now and have always been happy with the pleasant service. I should have taken advantage of one of the special drinks that they have featured on the chalkboard in their entrance, but I needed to get on the express train to Caffeine Land, so the words "large latte" escaped my lips before I thought about enjoying something more decadent. Still, it was a good latte.
The shop was pretty busy at 11 o'clock on a Friday, but I was able to grab a seat at the bar and sip my drink while waiting to pick up someone from an appointment down the street. It was nice to see local artwork and hear not one, not two, but three different languages being spoken by the patrons. Things like that make me happy.
Although parking sometimes seems like an issue here (the lot next to the building is almost always full when I go), I usually just grab a street spot across the way. Given my caffeine fix addition, I see a lot more Erie Island in my future.
