| - Downtown 3rd's Farmer's Market is in the old bus station on Casino Center & Stewart. You can park in the bus station parking lot for FREE instead of walking from nearby (possibly taking a detour to validate your parking). The old bus station is not gross either.
Bring your insulated grocery tote and wet naps (for the food truck). Many people accept cards here, but bring cash just in case. Leave the stroller behind because it's too crowded.
Lots of cool produce for foodies, like caviar limes, Japanese yams, kumquats, cool mushrooms.
The hummus guy sells delicious hummus for $5-$6. I've had the feta as well as the spinach one. My new favorite hummus! Add it to a plain sandwich. Beware of strong garlic breath though. Tons of samples.
Miguel sells jalapeño jam. I picked up the raspberry jalapeño jam and won't even share with my neighbor I love it so much. Put it in your favorite grilled cheese. It's an inoffensive combination of savory and sweet. Plenty of samples.
Real honey sold in the sweet tiny bears. They came in many flavors, but I went with plain. Peanut butter and honey is my fav breakfast sandwich.
The Tassoni sausage was $5 for a pack. I found all the samples mild. I like that because sausage burps are gross.
Fukuburger was there and they made a burger using ingredients from the market. It was really good. Like so good that I didn't care for my other burger anymore, which is crazy because it's freaking Fukuburger. I hope with all my heart that other food trucks also do this. Using ingredients from the market was genius and delicious.
There were many other vendors here selling mustard, olive oils, cookies, brownies, tea and soaps. Feel the connection to your food source and come to a farmer's market. This one is worth a visit and everyone is genuine and generous.
