My review is based on a one night stay. I have a tour company and my customers requested a hotel closer to the casinos. I saw this one online and they were able to accommodate us. I called 2 days ahead to make the reservation.
As soon as I gave the keys to the customers and they walked away. I started getting complaints.
1. The toilet was not working.
2. No toilet paper in about 10 rooms
3. One of the room door wouldn't lock.
4. The lights wouldn't turn on (literally myself I was moved twice because the lights wouldn't turn on)
5. They gave us a room that was already occupied by another customer that was not part of our tour.
6. The bad smells in the room. People literally open their doors for over an hour.
I'm not going to argue how dirty the carpet was and how bad the beds are, I'm not going to go there.
When I address the 6 issues to the person in the night shift, he moved people in different rooms, some more than once because the other rooms had similar problems.
The toilet paper situation, he just gave me a big black trash bag with like 20 rolls in it and I had to go myself to each room and give out the toilet paper.
When I spoked to the manager and requested a refund at least half of what I had paid, since I only got half of the service he said, "No" I cannot give you a refund because I had housekeeping prepare those rooms and my guy went to check them a day before and everything was working correctly and they were fully prepared the issue with the toilet not working, things happened. And the toilet paper, well we always give people extra toilet paper when they ask. What? I didn't ask for toilet people because I needed extra but because there wasn't any toilet paper at all in the rooms and my room was one of those.
In other words, it was my word against his staff word. I rented 30 rooms that night. This is the first and last time that he will see my business. I will do everything in my power to try to get my money back. I paid $43 a night, American Value Hotels was given me the same price and I regret not taking it. Next time when I read a review in Yelp I would learn to literally investigate why they are giving their bad reviews.
