| - I recently moved to the Tempe area, and mistakenly made the decision to sign a year lease with Onnix...
At first, this place seems wonderful; four glorious pools, tennis court, workout area... And the list does not go on, because unfortunately the staff doesn't do any maintenance to keep these public areas clean and working for the tenants.
The pools are almost always closed, which means as a paying tenants, you MIGHT be able to use the pools you're promised.. MIGHT, but don't count on it. Speaking honestly, I wouldn't feel safe lounging by the pools anyways, as they are either littered with garbage from the previous night's party, or by the local homeless who stumble into the area. Yup,you read that correctly- there are no gates, pass codes, or security of any form to protect tenants at their own home.
And don't count on the workout area being a place you could actually relieve stress and get your sweat on. The facility is littered with trash, full of broken machines, and even an il functioning sauna room.
In addition to the failing facilities, the staff is anything but pleasant. The staff member working on my lease told me a series of lies and bargains, "failed" to give me a complete copy of my lease, and have continued to drop the ball whenever maintenance is needed on my apartment (i.e. My kitchen flooding, my air conditioning not working, the dishwasher not running, and the list goes on).
A week after I moved into my apartment my bike was stolen- can you imagine what the staff did to support me in this? NOTHING- they did absolutely nothing, even though they make me pay each month for their "renters insurance"!
What have I learned from these four agonizing months from renting through Onnix? That there are wonderful, beautiful, affordable apartment complexes in this area... Oh, and that you'd be INSANE to decide on Onnix!
