for reference, this is a 3-stars on the McDonald's scale. And frankly, i am a big defender of McDonald's. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure McDonald's as an organization serves more people food at very affordable prices a day than any other organization in the world. That's something to be proud of. Thus, I dont say this lightly, but I was very disappointed in the McDonald's experience at the Rural/Tempe location.
my friends and i were each trying to use the deals posted on the McDonald's app and the scanner at this location didn't seem to be working correctly. technology hiccups happen, that's understandable and not a problem. the problem is when the employee tries to make it seem like we are at fault for the code not scanning and makes no effort to address the situation. im trying to save $2 on my McDonalds order. this is an important task in my life. standing there with your arms crossed, snickering at our failure to make it work is not helpful. especially when your company posted this deal to incentivize me to come in.
that's why i am hurt. I love McDonald's. I defend McDonald's against the naysayers that regurgitate banal platitudes about how its food product is far from organic (like no duh, it is a $1 cheeseburger, get over yourself.) I fervently stand by McDonald's when the naysayers try to tell me about some dumb flavorless fare from Wendy's or BK. I rep McDonald's HARD. I LOVE RONALD. thus, this whole experience hurt. it disappointed me.
