  • First experience at Aria. Reservations for 730 on a Saturday night. First impression was good, nice restaurant in the heart of uptown Charlotte, easy parking, modern and comfortable. Our table was ready upon arrival. The atmosphere was great, modern, comfortable, live music included. The menu was spectacular, not your average Italian menu. I had a Cesar salad that was really top notch with anchovy halves. My main course was New York strip, medium rare which was served with potato pancetta hash, doesn't sound great , but it was perfect and the steak was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a well made and testy cheesecake. First of all, the food was perfect, the wait staff was on the ball and nice. Secondly, I can't wait to go back and try other dishes until I've tried them all. Take your cash because it is pricey. A date for two with meal and cocktails will run you at least $120 at the low end, $180 is probably about average. Well worth it if you don't mind the cost. You will not be disappointed.
