A friend and I bought a few bars of silver yesterday. They sell their bars $3.00 per ounce over spot unless you purchase thousands of dollars worth. Most places sell at $2.00 over spot for small quantities, but I've found several reputable sites online that sell small quantities for $1.50 or even $1.00 over spot. I was hopeful that by purchasing from this physical store outlet, that a relationship could be made to get better pricing on other items or a better rates on the fees when selling bars back, however, the fees to sell back are just as out of wack with the competition and the collector coins I saw were all twice the price as on the Internet. The reason I give this review two stars instead of one is because the guy assisting us was fairly pleasant. I'll let you decide how much good manners are worth, but I don't think they are worth a fee 200% higher on each ounce. It's a large store and it must have expensive overhead or something...hopefully...but from all the other negative reviews from customers selling jewelry far below offers from competing stores only blocks away, I'm leaning towards greed as the motive for all the overpricing. I don't think I will be back.
