Had an appt today with Dr Chinn for your 9 week old puppy that we adopted from Animal Foundation. The pup seemed very nervous when we got to the vet, barking at people in scrubs. The tech was super nice, she checks his weight and vitals and he occasionally barked at her but nothing aggressive. In comes Dr Chinn and our pup begins barking and growling at her, not like any behavior we have seen from him even with new people. She mentioned that he is vey aggressive for his age and said "you guys might want to rethink this." Then she mentioned obedience training. I never thought I would hear a vet mention giving up a dog because of this, dogs can be trained. We basically felt dog shamed the entire time. The tech did all the work and the vet didn't even look at his neuter incision until I asked. Even then she said "no because of how he is acting", she said this as I was holding him and he was calm. I get that the visit was free but she did absolutely nothing, she said when to get vaccines but we already had all that info from the adoption agency. It's very sad because walking into this place we were impressed with the cleanliness and techs. We wouldn't take any of our animals back here, plus Dr Chinn made it sound like she couldn't help dogs like this.
Today 10/09/17 had to go back to the vet due to kennel cough and this time we saw Dr Hoyt. The difference is day and night. Dr Hoyt is a very caring vet and clearly knows how to handle animals. Such a shame that this place has one person who could ruin business. We love Dr Hoyt and will continue taking our dog to see her, she is very involved in what's going on with your animal and even calls a few days later to check on them. Would give this place now 5 stars but Dr Chinn one star.
