| - Great brunch! But not so great service...
I came here yesterday on Sunday at 1 pm with three others. We expected a wait as they don't take reservations. It took about 45 mins for us to be seated.
On the menu, there was a selection of eggs, omelettes, sandwiches, and sweet items, such as crepes, waffles and French toast. All of which come with some fruit and coffee. There was also some specials of the day, including gazpacho. Most items were typically priced for brunch ($15-20).
Okay, bad note first: our dishes came out after an insane wait... over an hour! It seemed like there was only one cook working that day. The waitresses kept refilling our coffees, but never apologized for the delay, almost like it was a normal thing for customers to be waiting that long.
On a good note, the food was awesome. I had the French toast (le pain dore) that was absolutely delicious! The panko made a very crispy crust and the inside was soft and creamy. I've never seen French toast made with panko and now when I eat French toast I'll always compare it to the one I had here. I also tried some of the 'omelette roulée parisienne', which had baked ham, bacon, mushrooms, and cheese, and it was also very good, although a bit on the salty side. As a plus, every dish was nicely presented and filling (and we were starving by the time the food arrived!).
