  • Ii very rarely leave poor review on Yelp, much less a 1 star review, but it looks like today is that day. I hadn't been to this location in a bit over a year as I usually use it for only State inspection (safety only since its a diesel) since its close to work and I can go on my lunch break. This location has done my state inspection every year since 2010 except last year when I gave a new Pep Boys a shot. Nothing has changed in my truck at all, same as i when i bought it in 2010 -- then BAM, all of a sudden this year this location wants to say my window tint is too dark even though this location has passed the same truck with the same tint for years and years? I also have the inspection from Pep boys last year that says in big black letters printed on the form -- WINDOW TINT INSPECTION PASSED. Oh, and then they want to tack on bogus charges? Have no clue who is the Manager, as this guy would talk, then that guy and all they were doing is talking in circles. They could not explain why they have passed my truck so many years previous, and could also not explain why Pep Boys passed it the year before. I have heard nothing but horror stories from my friends about this location, but have stuck with them as I try to support local business...Not anymore, I will take my truck over to Pep Boys, Jiffy Lube, goodyear or someplace. BTW -- The tint on my truck is not illegal and if it was, do you think I would waste my time taking the truck to a national chain instead of a backwoods shop? Anyway, good luck to all who dare go to this location...like they did for me, they will do good for a while and then at one point show why so many people you talk to around Harrisburg tell you to avoid this place like the plague.
