  • When I booked the car the Alamo website said "An additional daily fee may apply for any Additional Drivers." Since my husband and myself both intended to drive, I called Alamo to find out if there would be a fee. I was assured there was not a fee for spouses. When we got to the counter in PHX, we were told it would be $11.00/day. After much discussion, with Joshua telling us there is just nothing he can do because it is Arizona law, my husband finally said he would do all the driving. Then Joshua said he would waive the fee. So 2 big complaints...first, Alamo should train their people better. If we had been given the correct info from the get go, there would have been no issue. Second, I am glad he finally did, but why would Joshua tell us repeatedly that there was nothing he could do when clearly he had the authority?
