  • I was hoping to adopt two 10 yo chihuahua's today. My little blind yorkie just lost his 13yo sister last month and was really needing new friends. We were super excited about the possibility of adding new family members. I spoke to both fostering parents the day before to set up a meet and greet play date at my home. I asked about their health and they both said were in good condition and were over weight. I asked what the adoption fee would be and was told they will let me know tomorrow. The morning of their arrival I had missed a call while in the shower and returned it immediately after I became aware. I spoke to Desirea (foster parent). She confirmed they were coming over and said the price would be $300 for both. I accepted the price with hesitation and asked about medical health records. She said they would email those to me and that she would still bring them over. I waited and waited, and after nearly a hour she text me and said after speaking to her adoption manager they would be more comfortable if I simply went to see them at a pet smart. I couldn't believe it! We were at home waiting for their arrival and they CANCELLED WHILE BEING LATE THROUGH A TEXT!!!! I have fostered many dogs and provided a forever for several. Our home is a home of love and this person chose to POORLY REPRESENT their adoption facility and waist potential owner's time. I WOULDN'T recommend them to anyone!! EVER!!!!
