| - Dr. Schwartz is one of the best ENT's in Las Vegas but her office staff is the worse. And due to that there is never less than an hour wait, not because they over book but because the office staff is clueless as to doing their job and the Dr. has to do their job for them. I've watched the doctor have to make appointments, check insurance, and even answer the phone when she should be seeing patients and taking care of them.
My personal experience yesterday was....I made my follow up appointment for 3:45, I call at 3 to find out how far behind the doctor is running so I don't have to leave work too early and sit in her waiting room for 3 hours like the last visit, the girl tells me that she's running about 10 minutes behind, I figure she's lying and get there at 4:10. I sit in the waiting room for 20 minutes, get called up so she can copy the same insurance card that she copied 2 weeks ago. She tells me to take a seat that I'm next. I ask if I can pay the co-pay and she says that she'll call me up for that in a few minutes (looking around to no one else in the waiting room) I ask, why do I need to go sit down only to be called back up? The doctor pops her head out of an office and says to the girl, "you aren't busy right now, take the payment now", so she does. I then sit for another 10 minutes when I'm told to come back. I'm put in the next waiting room to sit for another 15 minutes before the doctor comes in, bitching about how hard it is to get good office help. She then starts asking me all the same questions that she did 2 weeks before and why I'm there. I said for a follow up for the ear infection I had, isn't it in my chart? She says, "as you can see my office staff doesn't know to pull your chart" then opens the door and yells out to the girl, find Barbara's chart. The girl never shows up with the chart and the doctor continues her rant on how stressed she is with the lack help she has. She wants me back for a hearing test and another follow up in a few weeks. I think not.
