  • If you want to sleep or have any semblance of privacy, this is not the place for you. A sheet of paper dampens sound better than the walls. In the evening, the rooms on either side of us, as well as above and below us, were creating an accidental cacophony. Accidental because we could here every footstep above, every toilet flush, every word spoken at a normal volume, etc. This prolonged our much needed sleep, but once we did fall asleep it was not for long. On a Sunday morning at 7 a.m., right after St. Patrick's day mind you, we were woken up by the room next door, who were ~really enjoying their honeymoon~ if you catch my drift. Though this isn't directly at the hands of the hotel, for the price, solid walls should be a given. You cannot charge the amount they do and just ask guests to forgo sleep as an additional cost. The rooms were otherwise okay, to the contrary of a few other reviews here, the lighting was fine, but the room did have very few power outlets. Even if I could give a 0 I would still give one star because the staff, especially the wait staff at the conjoined Sheraton, were overall very nice and helpful. If you do go to Charlotte and need a nice place to stay, this is not it. You're better off renting a trailer.
