| - First dine-in experience: Hostess was friendly & engaging. We chose to sit in bar area for happy hour & time restraints. Bartender abruptly approached to card my daughter ( 29yrs old), commented on her age then asked what we were drinking. Never said hi, even though I looked at him and said hi, just waited for my daughter's id then left. Five minutes later I approached the hostess, explained to her it was our first time here, didn't know if someone was coming to take our order, if I had to go up to the bar ? She walked over to bar area, bartendar showed up shortly after that. Food was prompt, cup of gumbo lacked decent flavour. Shrimp in gumbo looked of the frozen variety, roux without flavour, okra cooked to that consistency which makes people not like okra. Asked another server passing by for check. Proprietor walked around chatting with patrons, but said nothing nor smiled at us. That is rude behavior in the eye of a dining, paying patron. The hostess opened the door for us as we left, thank you. Her's was the best service we had from here. Did not feel welcomed. Will not return. The stars are for the Hostess.
