| - I have been coming to this store for over 10 years. While I haven't had perfect quality 100% of the time, what I have experienced is a customer service level that I have struggled to find consistently as years go by.
When I have had a garment lost, frustrating as it is, they have always compensated me quickly, and with understanding. When an expensive dress was damaged in the process (which had been worn once), the owner took the time to research the dress, find the manufacturer, and have a replacement sent at his expense. During this experience, I was educated on the fact that many garment damages are caused by manufacture mislabeling. Upon a small amount of research on my part, I was able to confirm that this is not a new industry problem.
After reading some of the other reviews I have noticed a trend in customers (throughout various industries, mind you) that indicates the lack of knowledge of how particular businesses work. As a consumer, we not only have the responsibility to inform others on our experiences, but should also take the time to make sure we aren't expecting a service level that is unrealistic for a given industry.
Monte Vista while not perfect, has always taken care of me. I definitely recommend them, and believe that they are worth loyal patronage.
