| - "Funky", the word that my adorable niece uses to describe my brother's paintings is apropos in describing this place. I've only been to the bar here, so this review is solely for that. I came here for drinks once and my first impression is that it looks sort of like an art gallery with wall to wall paintings. My next thought is that the decorator is probably an interesting person and I'd love to interview him/her if I were a psychologist.
Then I noticed how dark and loud it is in there. There were chairs and sofas for extra comfort. The bar wasn't crowded, making the access to drinks too easy. Hence, the result is over imbibing. Although the place was loud, we were still able to carry on conversations without having to use my teacher trying to be heard over the chatter of 38 students voice.
Smoking was allowed in there, so I bummed a cigarette off someone who turned out to be part of a Cirque du Soleil show. Can't remember which one though. Since he's part of the show, does that mean I met a celebrity?
Anyway, if you're looking for a change of scenery, this would be a great stop. It's off the strip, so it probably doesn't get as much out of town traffic, so you get to mingle with the locals.
