This place is awesome in some ways and terrible in others. The prices are great -- significantly lower than anywhere else -- and the selection is huge, including a lot of natural/organic grocery items. These factors outweigh some substantial drawbacks:
The physical aspects of the store are pretty unpleasant. It's large, crowded, and a bit run-down. The floors are made from this weird plastic fake brick that makes a ton of noise as people push their carts over it. The checkout lines are long and slow. You can't use a credit card. Also there are some weak areas in the inventory -- for example they sell very little natural meat (e.g., antibiotic-free, humanely raised). (They do have all-natural and organic cold cuts, though). Also the produce aisle is disorganized and chaotic, and there are often bins of produce that are over-ripe or even rotten.
The prices are so good that we'll keep coming back, but the weekly Woodman's run remains one of the least popular chores in our family because the experience is unpleasant.
