I could have sworn I wrote a reveiw for Hough's over two years ago, but I guess not. Its probably a good thing because I had been asked to leave once or twice around 8pm (or earlier) because "it was slow and they were closing early" and was a little bitter for a while. Good thing I live like a mile away and have been to Hough's maybe 25+ times since then.
Besides the amazing beer selection (200+ bottles and so many on draft), I like Hough's food. Someone who joined me for brunch this morning pointed out "how nice it is that they have so many vegetarian options for being a bar." They have so many good breakfast dishes, most you can sub veggie sausage for, and two breakfast dishes come with VEGETARIAN GRAVY. Holy moly have I missed gravy since giving up most meat, and I am so grateful that Hough's was able to give gravy back to me (meat free). They also have a create your own bloody mary bar with multiple choices of infused vodka to start with. The only time I've been disappointed at breakfast was when I got an eggs benedict type dish and the eggs were cooked all of the way through. They replaced the entree and ended up giving us a discount.
I also recommend their burgers (veggie or otherwise), tater tots, and pretzels.
Hough's is usually a great place to get a beer and some good food, no matter what time of day you head in. The service is generally really good and the place is really bright and clean.
