| - As a kid I didn't brush my teeth, and no matter how much my mom told me to do it, I refused. I ended up with many cavities and had to go through years of repairs on my teeth. I visited tons of dentists and the majority were awful; one of the dentist stuck on fillings like play dough and never blended them to my tooth, it looked so awful and I even developed cavities under them! I eventually found a great dentist in paradise valley that I went to for over 8 years, but she had a couple kids and was always out, so scheduling wasn't working (I'm happy for her and all but I couldn't wait). I eventually did research and came to Gilbert Smiles. To be quite honest it wasn't even the dentist that made me love the place (I didn't meet him till the later), it was the hygienist Stacey. She does such an awesome job with the cleanings! The first time I went in for a cleaning I literally had never seen my teeth so clean and pristine! Eventually I also had a crown done and a couple fillings and he did an awesome job blending everything together and making it all fit.
A few things to touch on from previous reviews:
- He's not overpriced, his work is worth the bill. Furthermore my insurance covers almost everything; if your insurance doesn't cover his cost and you can't afford it, then don't go. Don't be rude and complain when you can't afford it. When I couldn't afford a crown I waited, I didn't leave an awful review.
- The front staff at times can give off a cold feel, but they're definitely not rude. If you talk to them as s human being they warm up to you. Some people come off cold, it's life, learn to not take it so personally.
